John and Chris Blue - Associate Pastor
Originally from Huntington Beach, California, John Blue attended the University of Minnesota on a hockey scholarship. Following his college career, John was a goalie for the U.S. Hockey Team in the 1988 Olympics held in Calgary, Canada. This began his pro career that would take him to NHL teams including the Boston Bruins and the Buffalo Sabres.

John was raised in a Christian home with morals and values. However, it was not until 1991 after his first encounter with Greg Ball, president of Champions for Christ, that he began to live a life that was completely surrendered to the Lordship of Jesus.

Having been a speech communications major in college, John was offered a job as a radio commentator for the Boston Bruins. However, John declined this opportunity to take a full-time position on the staff with Champions for Christ. He is currently working in the national office, training athletes from a wide range of sports to be champions both on and off the ice.

John and his wife, Chris, along with their two children, McKennah and Jack, live in Austin, Texas.
